Mr. Raymond Eytle

Mr. Raymond Eytle – Board Member and Secretary, The UWI Human Resource Representative

Raymond A. Eytle is the Senior Assistant Registrar, Employee Relations, Compensation, Benefits, Occupational, Safety and Health for the University of the West Indies who has been in the field of Human Resources and Industrial Relations for over 40 years.

Prior to joining the University Mr. Eytle spent almost16 years at the Bauxite Industry in Guyana where he held a number of Senior HR/IR positions during which time he also did work as a consultant in their subsidiary Guymine Engineering and Technical Services Ltd. He has had extensive training and experience in Human Resources Management at both the strategic and operational levels.

His expertise, experience and training in the field, locally regionally and internationally has afforded him the opportunity to make a number of presentations, locally, regionally and internationally, and consultancies covering a wide range of HR and related areas including:

Mr. Eytle was a former Director and President of the UWI (Mona) and Community Co-operative Credit Union Limited and is currently a Director and 2nd Vice – President of Edu Com Co-operative Credit Union and Director and Vice President of Quality Network Co-operative Ltd (QNET), which manages the Credit Unious debit card transactions on the Multilink Network and provides an IT platform for participating credit unions.

He is also a member of the Executive Council of the Jamaica Employers Federation (JEF) and is currently Second vice President representing JEF for over 25 years at ILO Regional, International and local fora and training programmes, in areas such as Occupational Safety and Health, Human Resources, Industrial and Labour Relations/Legislation. He was also a Director of the Caribbean Employers’ Confederation for a number of years. He also serves a member of the Labour Advisory Council to the Minister of Labour, Jamaica, and was a Member of Industrial Relations Sub Committee of the Labour Market Reform Commission.

He is also Director: Frandec and Compay Inc (Guyana) and Frandec Professional Services. (Jamaica).
